Students learn the art of needle felting while creating a 2-D portrait of a pet or animal from a photo. Students learn everything from how to cut a basic shape out of a wool sheet, coloration, markings, detailing using wool roving, card and blending different colors of wool, using fine art markers and felt pens to add smaller details and how to finish the project to make it a pin, magnet, or ornament.
